Another week of business travel kept me away from the Victorian furniture for a while so I've done a little digging this morning. Here's a Herter Brothers (attributed) parlor set (sofa and 2 arm chairs) being sold by Wooden Nickel Antiques. Apparently the set has been restored and has had new leather upholstery added. The inlay patterns, gilding and claw feet are probably what has led the seller to attribute this to Herter. Bidding will end May 6th and starts at $6,000. Expected range is $8,000 to $12,000. More pictures and information.
