This credenza was bought at an estate sale, misidentified as an Italian piece, and now is coming up for sale at Leslie Hindman Auctioneers as lot 122 this weekend. Fortunately, it has been properly identified as a piece by Herter Brothers and it's relation to this cabinet pictured below in the Herter Book on page 156 is obvious. You'll notice that the doors in the piece above are not decorated as those are below, but otherwise, it is almost identical except from some differences in coloration near the feet and incising at the bottom of the door panels.
