Ebonized chair made by Hunzinger which was patented by him in 1869. This particular incarnation is ebonized with gold incising, though I have this chair in the natural walnut finish at my home. I wouldn't buy this chair to have as a spare seat as I can tell from personal experience it is better to look at than worry about a random guest splintering it when they sat down. Bidding ends June 10th and starts at $90. Expected range is $1,100 to $1,600 though I would be surprised if it hit $1,000. More details here.
