There are some exciting new additions coming to Rare Victorian this week, so please be checking back over the coming days to see what is in store. I have been very busy behind the scenes and I still owe you a follow-up post to the Jenny Lind saga and it is in the works, but I wanted to make a quick announcement about one of the changes at Rare Victorian in the meantime.
I've opened a new Classifieds section on the main Rare Victorian site for everyone to have a prominent location to sell Victorian-oriented items to Victorian-oriented collectors. The 5-day listing is currently free to encourage you all to list some of your items and get the classifieds page started. There are also 30 and 120 day listings for a nominal flat fee (regardless of item value) and there are never final value fees of any kind. There is a 50% discount when you list 5 or more items. I welcome dealers to submit their items in the classifieds as well.
With Ebay you get a maximum listing duration of 10 days with fees that I don't have to explain to you can get expensive. Craigslist provides 30-day listings for free, but it is not a Victorian-only site with Victorian-only visitors as this one is and your Craigslist listing is limited to your geographic region. Your classified ad here will literally reach the world of Victorian collectors.
