Update To Israel Fellows Post

I have updated the Israel Fellows post to reflect an important omission that I made when preparing the first posting. Thanks to a comment from Max Foote, I "reopened the investigation". I guess you could say we exhumed the body. Max didn't have new information, but his comment was enough for me to want to look into the research a second time since the appearance of the table when I saw it the first time was reminiscent of N.Y. work.

In this case, I missed a sentence in the photo captions that changes the strength with which the table can be linked to Fellows own hand. You can read the details of the udpate here.

I will keep updating past blog posts as new information comes to light or when I dig back into things. Keep your feedback and information coming at me and we'll continue to make Rare Victorian the best it can be.

    Hmmmm, this brings up a point which is often missed, that many cabinetmakers during the victorian era had retail outlets to market their products. If that is true then even if the piece is labeled by so & so cabinetmaker, it may not actually be the work of his shop but imported from somewhere else, correct?

    Yes, it is known that Prudent Mallard labeled Kilian Brothers pieces with a Mallard label. That is one small example in a wide sea. Sounds like a good blog post.
