I had to laugh when I saw this photo of Laura Bush with a caption stating that “Laura Bush speaks with an unidentified man”. I’m surprised that they didn’t say speaking with an unidentified man – and another unidentified man that looks just like him. I guess these reporters aren’t Antiques Roadshow fans.

John Henry Belter “Lincoln” Pattern

I ran into a listing for a Belter “Lincoln” pattern sofa and not having heard of that pattern before, I had to do some research. It happens that Lincoln had several pieces of Belter furniture in the White House during his time there, some of which had a very simplistic design.
