Cabinetmaker Catalog Update
Cabinetmaker Catalog Update I just spent the past two days scanning two disintegrating Robert Mitchell catalogs into Adobe Acrobat format and have made them available for sale via immediate download. They represent a look into the ca. 1890-1910 furniture styles of the time and one catalog in particular (#66) shows a few pieces that have often been attributed to R.J. Horner but we now know are made by Robert Mitchell Furniture Co. You may remember Robert from Mitchell & Rammelsberg (1847-1881). These catalogs represent Robert Mitchell's work in the subsequent years. I've already sold scans of both and one of the persons purchasing the catalogs has found two of their own pieces of furniture in the catalog that they had attributed to other makers. I will be making the Cooper and Horner catalogs available in the near future. Catalog page is here.
