		<description>Yeah, auctions and the holiday season are usually a good time for sales but this year if what i am hearing is true, it might be a good time to pick up some real  good bargains.

With the recession now a year old, dealers, auctions, even antique magazines have been hit hard this past year. Over at Newel&#039;s blog , this was his take of the situation

&quot; In the present state of the antiques market, it seems like an eternity since there was a feeling that our products could be bought and sold with any kind of rapidity. Turnover is not happening, and any sale is a welcomed event.&quot;

With few exceptions this is absolutely a buyers market no matter what period/style you collect in antique furniture.</description>
