Another 3-piece Renaissance Revival parlor set that I believe to be a “Prince of Wales” set by J.W. Hamburger has popped up on Ebay. This one is nicer than the others I have seen due to the inclusion of brass plaques, burl, and gilt-incising. There are some condition issues and some very old (maybe original) upholstery on the settee.
You may recall the catalog image that I shared with the last set that popped up.
The funny thing is that the Ebay listing has been “updated” where someone who saw the listing has told the seller that it is more likely J.W. Hamburger than Jelliff as it was originally listed. I wonder where that information came from?
It’s always rewarding to see the information presented here on Rare Victorian spread throughout the community.
