I wrote about collection diversity in my previous post about wicker chairs and here is certainly an item that will stand out in your collection. This chair is made of cut glass and is being sold by Doyle on February 13th. It is listed as Baccarat style as opposed to being directly attributed to any particular maker. It is unclear the age of this piece and I'd be interested to know. Apparently cut glass furniture was being made beginning in the 18th century and continues on to even today.
You can read an interesting article on cut glass furniture at the NY times site.
This chair will be sold on February 13th with bidding starting at $2,000 and expected range of $4,000 to $6,000. Good luck to the winner in finding a shipper that will deliver this to them.eBay Antiques · originally published
