Love at first sight: 15 years ago. Saw this at Steven's Antiques, Paoli, Penn, and spent an hour examining it. Great looking, but convinced that it had been substantially altered. Many screw holes in wood members underneath the marble top which were inexplicable. Also suspicious that the marble top, and definitely the side panels, are not original. Probably the buyer ($48K) was an absentee bidder who did not personally examine the cabinet. But that said, a great looking cabinet, and I still love it. Ciao, Ian Berke
