Hunzinger Duplex Spring Lollipop Chair
This “Lollipop Chair” is probably the most recognizable George Hunzinger creation. The patented duplex spring on this chair is unique to Hunzinger’s work and aids the weekend antique store shopper in identifying his rockers, many of which were not in this lollipop form. This chair can be seen in “Styles of American Furniture” by Eileen and Richard Dubrow on page 94. This particular chair apparently still has an original label, which I assume should confirm the obvious – that this is a Hunzinger. The listing runs until February 16th and the top range is expected at $500, which I feel could likely be exceeded.
